OWA or Outlook Web Access is the web-based email client to help users access their Outlook mailboxes from any computer, whether it has or does not have Outlook installed on the system. It offers the same look and feel of the Outlook client and has all the functionalities including calendar, contacts, tasks etc.

If your company uses an Exchange server, you need OWA address to connect with it using the OWA client. OWA address is the URL to your company's Exchange server. If your company supports OWA, this is a URL you would enter in the browser to launch Outlook Web Access.

OWA address also makes it extremely easy to connect your Exchange calendar and use automated scheduling with FreeBusy. Once connected, FreeBusy helps you eliminate the back and forth of emails and get meetings scheduled 10x faster.

While your IT department may be able to advise if OWA is supported and what is the exact URL, here is a quick way for you to locate the OWA address in your Outlook client yourself.

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Click File.
  3. Locate Account Settings.

If your company supports OWA, the URL should be displayed below the text
"Access this account on the web".

Copy the URL and paste it into the OWA Address field when connecting your Exchange calendar.
